BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
Mattel manufactures and markets a broad range of toy products for children of all ages and families including toys for infants and preschoolers, girls' toys, boys' toys, youth electronics, hand-held and other games, puzzles, educational toys, media-driven products and fashion-related toys. Mattel's key global brands include Barbie, Hot Wheels, American Girl and Fisher-Price. The company has presence in 43 countries and territories and sells products in more than 150 nations. The company operates through two business segments: domestic and international. The domestic segment develops and markets its toy products in the US through three business divisions: Mattel Girls and Boys Brands US, Fisher-Price Brands US and American Girl Brands. The Mattel Girls and Boys brands US division includes some of the company's key global brands such as Barbie and Wheels. Barbie includes Barbie fashion dolls and accessories. Wheels comprises of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Tyco R/C vehicles and play sets.
