In the old days, gender equality was not a concern in most of the nation. Men work as a labour outside while women only stay at home to take birth and take care of the household work. Women, in the old days, have no rights to express their own opinions, as the income of the house is supported by the men himself. Therefore, men decide everything in a family and the wife just need to follow their instruction. Women, on the other hand, do not mean does nothing in a family. Women take care of the household works such as cooking and cleaning the house and take birth to build a family. However, the women are not paid for the works that they have done. People looked down on women, as they are not educated, or they have no chances at all in getting education. Families only sent their boys to schools and girls will stay at home to learn household works from their mother. The girls were not allowed to explore the world outside. Therefore, women’s knowledge is limited and they would get into marriage in very young age as they thought the only things that they can do is to have own family and take care of it. Because of the inequality, making more inequality and poverty arises. When women are not educated, although they are given the chance to seek for jobs, they only can do simple jobs that make them have only a low bargaining power over their wages. Although women are earning income, but their purchasing power is still low and have less ability to buy their basic goods. However, in the modern society now, the gender inequality has become lesser and the equality is even improving. With more and more women joining the workforce, politic, entrepreneur, and are given better access to food, healthcare and education. These reduced the inequality and poverty in the nations.

In this modernize world, people’s thought of keeping women in the house has been abolished. Most of the parents would send their children no matter boys or girls to the education institutions such as kindergarden, schools, college, university, or tuition centers, for the future generation to have knowledge and skills that can help them to be able to stay in the competitive society. Sending boys and girls to schools have become a must to every family. Parents who keep their children in the house without letting them exposed to education will be sued as it is an unlawful behavior that is set by the government. Scholarships were also given to both genders that have achieved high and excellent results in academic and co curriculum. When the educations have more demand by not just providing to boys but also the girls, more teachers, tutors and lecturers that are needed will increase follow by the increasing of the education institution that are building up. The teachers, tutors, and lecturers have their different type of teaching styles and skills that would attract the attention and understanding of their students. Therefore, they would have higher bargaining power and are possible to get high salary as the professionals such as engineers or doctors do. People who are not able to find a job outside may try to become a teacher after undergoing some training. Not necessarily would get a high income, but teachers get satisfactory income that is enough on spending the basic goods and services for themselves and their family, as teachers are highly demanded by every of the education institution.

Women have more opportunity to join the workforce. Women of the modern society were educated. Most of the women now have same qualification or greater compare to the men to join the workforce. When more women are employed in to a business, the market of new products may easily be successful. When there are women managers managing the business, they can produce better products for the needs and wants of the women. When the product meets the needs and wants of women, the demand for the product will increase, and the market will be successful. More and more women’s products will be...
